![]() Or maybe if his turret form didn’t last ten minutes, or it were possible to pop him out of it somehow, IDK. Still would deal plenty of damage, would still be good at tank-busting, but not so overwhelmingly. Perhaps he could be re-designed to do extra damage against deployable shields and armor HP, but lower damage against shield and “meat” HP. yellow mutant) Northern cardinal, Cardinalis cardinalis. When using Bastions original skin, Ganymedes appearance is similar to a xanthochroic (i.e. The bird is frequently seen accompanying the omnic, and features prominently in many of Bastions emotes, victory poses, highlight intros, and sprays. ![]() He’s “good against tanks,” yes, so good in fact that only Orisa and Dva are remotely playable against him (and if Bastion’s team has Zarya or Orisa, then only Orisa is playable), And his ability to drill through a 1500 HP shield and the 500 HP german man holding it in less time than it takes a politician to lie about something just means smearing a 150 British girl across a wall is even easier. Ganymede is the bird companion of Bastion. It’s not even a matter of “skill” (especially since “skill” in the OW forums is just some inane nonsense built around ancient Call of Duty 360 noscope montages set to Drowning Pool’s “Let The Bodies Hit The Floor”) it’s a matter of purpose and design.īastion is simply way over-designed for his role. A hero that melts literally every tank in a game built around there only being one tank per team is kind of a bad hero design. Oh, DPS mains, someday you’ll get over other heros having a LMB to press.įirst off, yes, I think Bastion gives way too much bang for his buck, so to speak. Spends entire first post complaining about Illari. I just want the game to be balanced in a way that rewards execution, and I feel like Bastion in his current state completely undermines that principle. These impenetrable compositions are so obnoxious because I know that I have to play a flawless Tracer in order to win whereas a Bastion just needs passable tracking aim and good turret timing. Whenever there’s a Bastion, there’s usually an Illari or a Torb, which is very aggravating to face. I swap to Tracer almost every time I face one, but even that isn’t always enough because of Illari being so popular and strong, not to mention Torb, who like Illari synergies very well with Bastion. The issue I have is that in my games I have to play so much better than an enemy Bastion in order to win. I play Cassidy (who is currently outranged by Illari and Baptiste), Ashe, and Tracer because I enjoy characters who reward my skill and improvement. Maybe the changes to Orisa, Illari, and Torbjorn will indirectly nerf him, but I don’t think any of those were significant enough to affect his place in the meta. Right now he is one of the most dominant dps characters despite requiring some of the least gamesense and mechanical skill.
